Spine Universe is an extremely well organized website on the back and neck. The site is a comprehensive resource for all aspects of spine health. Spine Universe contains information on specific spinal conditions, spine surgery, non-surgical treatments, ergonomics, spine wellness, pain management, new technology and more.
Shockwave Therapy
This link contains information regarding Shockwave Therapy, the non-invasive procedure for plantar fasciitis (chronic heel pain) and epicondylitis (tennis elbow).
The Arthritis Foundation
This website is an excellent comprehensive resource for patients with arthritic conditions. Among the vast resources of this site is information on the local offices which offer classes, support groups and special programs.
Pfizer
This site is the home of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Company which contains information about the prescription anti-inflammatory medications, Bextra and Celebrex. The site also contains health resources and links of interest to orthopedic patients.
Lab Tests Online
Lab Tests Online is an excellent resource for learning more about your lab testing. The site is maintained by lab professionals and presented in an easy to understand format. The site is peer-reviewed and non-commercial.
WebMD
This link is to the Condition Center of WebMD. WebMD is a comprehensive medical information resource. This is probably the most well known health care site on the web.
UT Medical Center
This is the University of Tennessee Medical Center website. This site may
be helpful to referred patients for hospital information (i.e., directions,
FAQ’s) regarding surgery or other outpatient procedures.
