Richard L. Beaver, M.D.
Dr. Beaver is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a teaching certification from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, Dr. Beaver taught elementary school for two years before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas.
Following an internship and an orthopedic residency, Dr. Beaver completed fellowship training in foot and ankle at the Foundation for Orthopaedic and Athletic Reconstruction and Research in Houston.
Dr. Beaver’s wife, Mary Es, is an ear, nose, and throat physician and fellowship-trained in laryngology. They have two young children, Jackson and Ellie.
A competitive runner in college, Dr. Beaver still enjoys running, as well as fly-fishing, scuba, travel, and golf in his leisure time. Upon settling in Knoxville, he is looking forward to continuing his involvement in Habitat for Humanity and church activities.
