Rachel’s family are native New Yorkers, Rachel moved to Tennessee at the age of 7 where she has spent the majority of her life. Rachel started her medical career at The University of Tennessee Medical Center as a registered nurse, specializing in orthopedic and neurotrauma. She is certified through the national orthopedic association as a registered nurse. After several years of nursing, she went on to pursue her master's degree as a family nurse practitioner. Through her time working with trauma patients, she has learned about numerous polytrauma injuries and treatments and has gained fulfillment in working with the trauma populations.

When not working Rachel enjoys spending her time with her husband and dogs. They spend their time off traveling and adventuring through nature and numerous national parks. As well as expanding her collection of house plants and cultivating her green thumb.
