When I made the appointment for surgery, they handed me a booklet with things that I need to know before surgery, during operation, and after surgery. It was very comprehensive. When I made an appointment to get a cortisone shot for the pain possibly, they explained that they don't give the chances within three months of surgery for fear of infection, which would then delay surgery. He/they told how I could take over the counter pain meds and ice packs to handle the pain until surgery. I am counting down the days until surgery. Dr. Holt was highly recommended to me by 8 out of 10 people who have had knee replacements. I believe that he is worth the wait.”
